Maybe, now a big question is lingering in your head about how to say that you like something but unfortunately you don't want to do it. Why did I make such an awkward and intricate sentence? The answer is this sentence sounds really "Indonesian". Why is it like that? For telling something in Indonesian, you shouldn't say it in rough way, because it is hurtful, dear, or at least it sounds like that sometimes, in our Indonesians' ears. So, how could we express that we don't want to do something? My suggestion is : Find the most pleasant way to deliver your concern related to the theme For example, let's see the following conversation: Pak Joni : Halo, Mr. John. Anda mau makan durian? (Hello Mr.John. Do you want to eat Durian?) Mr. John : Oh terima kasih. Saya suka durian, tapi saya tidak mau makan sekarang karena masih terlalu pagi. (oh, thank you. I like Durian, but I don't want to eat it now because it is still too early) So, what are the words for "LIKE" and "WANT" which you got from the conversation above? |
