Preposition "DI" (IN/AT/ON)
In English you use preposition of place in, at, on when you want to express or ask where something is located. In Indonesian, these prepositions are equivalent with the word "DI". With “DI” you can generate some other prepositions. Such as: di depan [in front of] Saya berdiri DI DEPAN pintu [I stand IN FRONT OF the door] di belakang [behind] kursi DI BELAKANG meja [the chair is BEHIND the table] di antara [between] Saya berdiri DI ANTARA meja dan kursi. [I stand BETWEEN the table and the chair.] di samping/di sebelah [beside] Radio di samping televisi [Radio is BESIDE the television] Preposition "KE" (TO/in the direction of) KE MANA kamu mau pergi? (Where do you want to go?, literally "TO WHERE do you want to go?") -Saya mau pergi KE pasar. (I want to go TO the market) or we could have shortened the response by saying: -KE pasar (literally, TO the market) Preposition of "DARI" is equivalent with "FROM" Anda berasal dari mana? (literally, you come from where? Saya berasal DARI Jakarta. (I come from Jakarta.) Dari mana? (Where have you just been? Literally, from where? - Dari pasar (Literally, from the market) //I've just been to the market.

Today, we are going to learn about Indonesians' favorite words. Sudah and Belum. For some reason, especially culture reason, Indonesians love saying "Belum" instead of"Tidak". Tidak in some questions sounds too direct and Indonesians sometimes prefer not to express themselves directly, yet they express with a word that might not hurt the speakers' feeling.
